THe secret is out

Yvonne picked Shanell up after school with Andy sitting in the back incognito so that no one could see him. Shanell shook her head as he stuck his tongue out at her before they headed to the store. She had said goodbye to her friends. “an outfit and swimsuit is all I need to get Von....” She looked back at Andy who was taking his hat off. “and I thought it was just us girls....” She smiled “not that I mind you coming And.... “

“he's the one paying ...” Yvonne stated with a grin. She drove towards the place they were getting clothes. They pulled into Gloria Vanderbilt driveway heading down the long road to her house. The girls laughed while in the back Andy chipped in a few words here and there.

Shanell looked up from where they pulled in. “I thought we were going to the store?” She looked back at Andy who looked a bit guilty with a sheepish look on his face. “Andrew.... you know regular clothes you buy off the rack....” She climbed out of the car her arms folded across her chest.

“Think of it as a late birthday gift Shan....” he stated with a grin. “we could get you a few outfits for school and something nice for tomorrow night...” He put his arm around her shoulder escorting her towards the door kissing her temple with a smile.

“do I have a choice?” She looked up at him. Then over at Yvonne.

He shook his head “nope...”

Yvonne shook her head “you know you don't win when its your brothers.... Shan.... even Maurice agrees he said whateva Andy doesn't pay for I am to pay the rest...” she smiled “and you know once those brothers of yours make up their mind there is no changing it...”

Shanell sighed shaking her head “yes I know.....” They headed into the house where Gloria was waiting for them

By the time they were done with measurements and such there was quite a few bags and quite a few things being ordered that they would have to pick up later. Shanell had gotten a nice dress to wear to go out with her friends and a swimsuit that Andy actually agreed on. Not that Shanell wanted a racy bathing suit but this one met her brother's approval. Sometimes having brothers was not all it was cracked up to be as they were over protective. She had tried rather unsuccessfully mind you to deter them from buying so many clothes but Andy remarked that she needed them as she would want to go out with her friends more than once. Also because as her brother it was his right to spoil her.

The next day she packed her clothing in her bag that she was going to wear that night.  She was going to be meeting her friends at the beach. She was happy that the car had been fixed so she was going to be driving herself. That she would not need anyone to take her there as Andy had said that if it wasn't he was going to drive her. . She dressed in her new suit kissing both her brothers before heading out to Zuma beach to be with her friends. She had her sunglasses on she drove towards the beach following the directions of both Jon and Andy had given her.. She pulled into the parking lot grabbing her stuff she headed to find where her friends were. She kept her glasses on as she spotted them near a bunch of other kids. She was a tad nervous sure she was starting to relax around her new friends but she was still wary.

She was wary because although she went under her mum's maiden name that did not cover up the fact that she did look quite a lot like her older brothers Andy and Barry. She did get a couple of don't I know you or have I seen you before questions when she first started at Malibu high. She had quickly dismissed them and her new friends had never brought it up. So she was a blissful unassuming ordinary girl. She dropped her bag by the blanket that Ellen was setting on. “I do hope you have something to keep you from burning El ya gonna be red before long...” she stated to the red head setting on the blanket.

Ellen looked up and smiled “yeah Jon already put sunblock on me …. while Cindy over there . or you....can tan all they want  Me I burn like a clam bake ….”  She held up the shirt she had in her hand. “I also stole Jon's new shirt. “

Shanell laughed as she set down on a blanket she brought with her setting the sunglasses back on her head. “sorry “ she shrugged “I wasn't always this tan … when I was younger my brother and I were pale its not always sunny in London....” She rubbed the lotion on her arms and legs tossing her shirt over to the side. “where are the lads?”

Cindy looked over from where she was sunning herself her dark hair falling in her eyes with a smile “Jon's over surfing and I think Rick...” She looked over to see her boyfriend talking to a guy by the volleyball net “oh Rick's talking to his buddy Jase probably about his car...” She grinned. “so nice suit...”

She looked down at her suit “thanks... I got the my outfit to change into in the car so I dont have to head home along with my other stuff.” She relaxed with the girls enjoying a day out with friends. They relaxed a few minutes before they got asked to join a game of volleyball. Shanell pulled her hair into a tail and grabbed the ball ready to play. A couple guys made some comments about her stature and she grinned internally that they had a shock coming.

After a few rounds of volleyball the guys were ready to take their comments back quite readily. Shanell with the girls and Jon basically wiped the beach with them. As she was getting a congratulations hug from Ellen one of the guys looked over at her. His eyebrow raised her hair was tousled and her sunglasses were relegated back to her beach bag. “do I know you …. or have I seen you before somewhere...”

His friend looked over “yeah you look kind of familiar....”

Ellen spoke up “She goes to Malibu High....” 
 

The dark haired guy shook his head “I don't go to high school... so I don't think I've seen her there...” He got a bit closer his head cocked to the side like he was trying to figure out where he had seen her before.

Shanell got a bit nervous taking a deep breath. “I just got one of those faces ….” She headed back to the blanket to get away from the guy who kept watching her.

Ellen frowned as she watched Shanell walk away from them like she was trying to get away from the guys who said they had seen her before. Her eyes watched then she frowned putting things together in her head. “Jon..” She grabbed his arm and pulled him the other way from where Shanell was with Cindy who walked over with her. Somethings were starting to come together in her mind.  From the way Shanell talked to her looks then her talking about how she had to travel a lot for her father's work...then when she introduced herself that first day she started to slip at her last name. The final two keys when her brother ROY picked her up  then the Rolls Royce that brought her to school. “Jon I think I know who Shanell's brothers are...”
