The day after

“what I couldn't have been that recognizable....” he looked at his brothers who were snickering. “oh like its easy for you three to go out … its why we had Jake take her to school the one day...” he rolled his eyes as Robin laughed harder. After that the ice broke and they got to know Shanell's new friends better. As it was getting late after getting something to drink Robin offered to drive them home. Which they both were glad for as they were not sure how they were gong to get home.

The next morning Shanell came downstairs hearing someone talking in the kitchen, Andy was sitting at the table eating breakfast talking with Barry and to her shock both her other brothers were there. She yawned rubbing her eyes she had thought they had gone home last night or at least Robin as she had given her friends rights home last night. She headed to the table grabbing a glass of juice before kissing each one of her brothers cheeks before taking her seat next to Andy.

“how you feeling this morning princess?” Robin asked from where he sat drinking his tea.

“I am okay ...” she smiled at them “I thought you two had went home....” She sipped her juice.

“trying to get rid of us ay?” Maurice grinned

“no ….” She shook her head “just thought you had went home after you took El and Jon home.. “ she knew she was going to have to meet up with her friends soon. They would want to talk at least that’s what they said when they left last night and Rick had Jon's car.

“we wanted to come back and talk about last night...” Robin stated putting his tea down. “are you sure you're okay … “

“I thought we went over this, I am okay Robin.... I swear! It was scary but it wasn't like I hadn't had to deal with it before we dealt with that in Isle of Man and Spain and England ...” she stated biting into her own breakfast. “its not like its anything new ….”

“but those times you had us and mum and dad with you...” Maurice reiminded her his own voice concerned. He may joke with her but seeing her as scared as she was last night then her breaking down brought horrible memoreis of the incident in school.

“They got me out okay … and Rick that's Cindy's, she is my other friend her boyfriend was blocking anyone that got near me. “ Shanell stated protesting. “after the girl grabbed me arm...”

“someone grabbed you... you didn't mention that last night …none of you did..” Barry's voice chimed in.

“I think we left it out or Jon did cause he saw how worried all of you were and they know you are protective … “ she was cut off.

“Why shouldn't we be you are our little sister...” Andy stated “I ...” a loud throat clearing from the other street caused him to roll his eyes. “WE brought you here to help you start clean and be safe only to have this happen...maybe we should ...”

“should what Andy....” She sighed “have me body guarded for the rest of my life … thats impossible and a ridiculous notion....besides I don't think anyone is going to say anything at the school at least I hope they don't. “ She went silent and sighed thinking of what it would do to change the atmosphere at school she hoped it didn't change much at all. She hoped it didn't change the freindship she had with her friends they didn't seem to act like it last night. Sure they were a bit miffed at her for not telling them but once she explained things a bit more now that things were out in the open she hoped it would not be too much of an issue. She set her toast down. “I think I am going to meet up with Ellen and Jon at Ellen's house maybe its time to get everything out in the open …. “ She ran a hand through her hair.

Andy nodded his head in agreement. “they seemed to be okay about it last night and your friend Ellen did say she had figured it out before but hadn't said anything. It might not be a problem at least I hope it wont be....”

“me too And me too..” She finished her breakfast knowing that her brothers probably had other stuff they had to do even though it was Sunday there was still studio time and other stuff. “can I borrow the car Andy...”

“its yours for the taking...” He smiled “I should just give it to you since you drive it more than I do...”

“no that's okay.... I don't mind just borrowing it …. are all of you working in the studio or is it a laybout day....” she asked taking the keys from Andy.

“today is just a relaxing day …. monday starts another busy week of studio times and working on tour work ….” Barry stated “you could come hang out at the studio after school wouldn't mind mixing you into some of the background vocals looking for a bit higher than even Andy or I can get ...”

“I'll think about it..” she blushed before kissing her brothers taking a shower and heading out to meet with her friends.
