Normalcy

She headed towards where Ellen lived going over what she was going to say to them. She wasn't sure.. she hoped they were not upset about the secrets. She knew she should have told them sooner but it just didn't feel like a good idea yet. She trusted them but she had been so wary and wanted to just be liked for herself. Not for being The Bee Gee's and Andy's little sister. She pulled into the driveway surprised to see Jon's car in the driveway Rick must have brought it over sometime that morning. She grabbed her bag and knocked on the door.

Ellen opened the door smiling “hey Shanell come in .. Rick and Cindy just got here an hour ago we were going to call you to see if you wanted to come over.” She seemed genuinely happy to see her. They headed inside heading to the back of the house where she could hear her friends talking. They were setting around the pool just relaxing before the humidity hit. “hey we don't need to call Shan she's here...” They turned to see her walk in.

“hey Shan...” Cindy sat on the lounge by the pool. Her brown hair pulled up in a tail while Rick was setting in the chair next to her.

Shanell sat down taking the glass of soda that Jon offered her. She took a breath before she blurted out “I wanted to know if you guys wanted to come over and hang out at my house today …. “ The four stared at her. She had been musing on it if she really wanted to show that she trusted them and such she would have to take that first step. “the guys aren't doing anything today and I don't think it be a problem if you come and hung out we could listen to music play by our pool … and you could uh get to really know my brothers and I that’s if you want to....”

Jon cleared his throat looking at the others “shouldn't you ask your brothers first?”

“not really they told me when I felt comfortable I could bring friends home …. guys we are just like everyone else … sure my brothers might be famous … but they are just regular lads …. Mo … and Robin are practical jokers … Barry tells the most awful Jokes … but can be witty and Andy well.... “ she shrugged “Andy is Andy....”

The others looked at each other and shrugged “sure ...” After collecting all of their things they piled into the porche where Shanell drove them to her home. After another set of introductions they all settled into the house.

After that one day it set the tone for the rest of the weekends they alternated between Shanell's house and Ellen's though if they were at the house then they had to fend for themselves as there was no cook. It didn't matter as usually sometimes Shanell ordered or made something for them. She relished in being just a regular girl for once in her life. She was getting to be able a normal teenager.

It was about a month later when Andy came bounding in when they were setting finishing up their homework at the kitchen bar. “Starlight … I was just looking for you … the deal is done … its finished ...”

Shanell looked over at him “what's done...” She was setting next to Ellen with Cindy on her other side working on their last piece of homework for the year .She was so glad school was over but now she wasn't sure what she was going to do. Back home it would be time of riding horses but she was going to be a Senior next year also Barry had been talking about her maybe doing some work at the studio with them. Be it run errands or even help them a bit silently as backup vocals.

“The house the one we looked at over in Malibu....” He grabbed a soda from the fridge. He was so used to Shanell's friends being in the house now it didn't phase him add in they were so used to the brothers they didn't get starstruck. Andy had even let Rick look at one of his prized cars when one of them stopped working.

“you went and bought a house you bought the house?” Shanell stared at him in shock.
